Learning Outcomes

Term 1 English course Team Taleem

Term 1

This course is designed to develop learners listening, observation, thinking, and writing, and comprehension skills of English Language. Term 1 covers what students typically learn in kindergarten, and after completion of this course they will learn:

Phonics sounds and association of letters to sound

Objects association with 26 letters

Handwriting patterns

Tracing of letters leading to independent writing

Sight reading with emphasis on phonemes

Upper and lower case letters

Beginning sounds in CVC words

Primary and secondary colors through pictures

Term 2

In this course student will be able to understand the advance sounds and blends, student will also be able to understand the difference between capital and small letters. Term 2 covers Grade 1 of primary education, and after completion of this course will help the child to learn new vocabularies with audio visual effective learning methods too, they will learn:

Upper and Lower case letters with sounds

Tracing upper case letters (A- Z)

Rhyming words

Middle sounds – single and two lettered

Short passage reading of middle sound words

Sight words and others

Words of ‘at’, ‘in’, ‘ot’, ‘sh’ and ‘ch’

Blending sounds

Term 3

In this course student will be able to understand advance language skills, understand the formation of sentences, able to enhance listening, reading and writing skills. Student will able to enhance their vocabulary by understanding the grammar of nouns, vowels, living and non – living things. Term 3 covers Grade 2 of primary education, and after completion of this course they will learn:

Listening, reading & writing sentences

Sentence making

Reading comprehension and stories

Nouns (name, place, animal, thing) and verbs

Difference of he and she

Vowel Words

Introduction to life skills

Living and non-living things
